Building Surveyor
We require a qualified/experienced building surveyor to join our busy team.
To be considered for the role you will require the following attributes:
- Building defect investigation
- Maintenance or conditon surveys
- Property maintenance advice
- Design and specification of building repairs/restoration
- Quality management advice or review
- Advice to parties to facilitate dispute resolution processes regarding buildings
- Measurement or estimation of building works
- Management of building works or processes
- Programming of building works
- Claim investigation with respect to buildings or building products
- Research of building products, processes or regulations
The successful candidate will ideally be NZIBS and/or RICS qualified and preferably hold a degree in building surveying or other tertiary qualification in a construction or design related discipline.
Other qualifications would include:
- A sound knowledge of New Zealand Building Codes, standards and practices - both current and historical
- A sound knowledge and experience of construction monitoring and contractual procedures
- Sound commercial understanding, personable/professional attitude and excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Building Envelope Engineers / Building Science Technologists
We specialise in building envelope performance assessment, envelope design and remediation. A growing market (NZ has its own "leaky buildings crisis") means they are seeking a significant number of professionals experienced in this field to join their expanding team.
- 3-5 year contracts or permanent positions available
- NZ Engineering registration not required
- Building envelope failure investigation and diagnosis (forensics)
- Envelope design and/or review
- Restoration/remediation design, specification and management
The successful candidate will hold a relevant engineering degree/diploma and have experience in building envelope assessment, design and remediation. A team player and effective communicator, you will be self-motivated, creative and have an ability to adapt to changing environments. An interest in leadership and personal development is desirable.
